Self defence training is about learning skills that will allow you to defend yourself and others without getting hurt or injured.
We concentrate on building core skills that work consistently and instinctively. Once the basics are mastered more advanced techniques can be learned.
Core skills developed
Power striking: Using the strength of the entire body to strike the opponents vital points (using Fist, foot, palm etc).
Skilful defence: Using all parts of the body as well as footwork and evasion to neutralise attacks.
Rooting, balance and power posture: learning to use your body in a way that helps you maintain a standing position and better control an attacker
Locks and restraints: techniques to de-escalate conflict and also control an attacker without excessive violence.
Sweeps and throws: techniques to easily throw an attacker to the ground.
Our self defence classes run every Monday and Wednesday in Camden Town from 7-9pm. Beginners are always welcome.
